After 20 long weeks of eager anticipation, on Feb. 3rd we merrily made our way to the sonogram specialist for Squiggly Quiggley's inaugural performance. We spent close to an hour watching Quiggley show us how it's done from the 20-week chart topper "Breech Beach Bonanza!".
The sonogram tech tried to see the gender bits, but after about 45 minutes couldn't confirm anything. Squiggly Quiggley is quite the shy one! Lucky for us though, when the doctor came in Squiggly Quiggley cooperated and and he confidently told us that we're having another wonderful baby GIRL!

Sierra is SO EXCITED to be a big sister and even more excited to be having a baby sister! She's already talking about them sharing a birthday month and all the fun stuff they are going to do together. YAY!
Stay tuned for more pics and the February Belly Shotz!!
Day 1:
Snow too dry for good packing. Tiny snow people were made in the morning. That just whet the appetite. By evening, it was clear that Snow Worms were the answer! Ahhh, satiated.
Day 2:
We awoke to a glazed over field of white. Luge! After whizzing downhill, gravity a cruel mistress, we decided to break through and check the character of the snow. Snow perfect for molding into a snowman fit for a 2 year old. Success!
Last week we started swim lessons at the local county rec center. I had no idea our county offered such a wide variety of activities for children of all ages! We'll definitely be looking into some adult classes too.
Our first class was super successful and super fun. We learned how to kick our feet (being held and holding onto a railing), how to dunk our heads all the way under, how to jump in from the pool deck, and how to slide in on our tummies. There was even a rousing rendition of the Hokey Pokey at the end. Great fun was had by all!
It's an 8 week class...I can't wait to see what we learn next (this weekend's class was just a review of last week).
We had the occasion to celebrate our good friend Owen's 5th birthday party at Port Discovery this past weekend. Check out these photos for some of the action.
p.s. Port Discovery really makes the dads work for their fun :) The taller the dad, the harder the work ;)
We entered the new year with a fabulous little couples w/ kids party at our house. We invited my sister & brother-in-law and some mutual friends who have a cute little one of their own too. We spent the evening enjoying a random buffet of food including tacos, wings, hummus, salad, and snacks.
We then parked ourselves in front of the T.V., with a fire roaring in the fireplace, for an electric evening of Rock Band, board games, and counting down to 2009. Oh, did I mention the chocolate fountain we kept handily within arms reach?
We wish you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2009!!!!!
This morning, Sierra and I took a trip out to the Air & Space Museum Annex to see the aircraft. We had such an incredible time. Between seeing all the airplanes, helicopters, and space craft; talking with a WWII Fighter Pilot, sitting in a Cessna 150, and catching a few minutes of an IMAX, we had a very exciting morning!
This year's LatkaPalooza was once again a smash success! We had about 60 folks stop by for latke yumminess. It was wicked fun having so many family members and friends come hang out for the evening :)
The kids ran amok and the adults rocked out. I can't wait to see what happens next year!!
Just a few pics from Hanukkah 2008. Someone in our home has some mad play-doh skillz.
Over the last couple weeks we've been working on a number of food related projects :)
The first was building our very own gingerbread house! The second was doing some trial runs of latkes for LatkaPalooza 2008!
