Scout Needs Lovin' Too!
With all the hub-bub about Sierra all the time...it's nice to take a few extra moments to give the most devoted little hound-dog some lovin' on a fine Sunday afternoon!
More cute pics of Scout!

We spent a wonderful day (and night) (and next morning) at Nick & Mikaela's home for a raucous birthday party! Family! Friends! Children! Dogs! The only thing missing were the elephants & lions...but I heard they backed out at the last minute due to union wage disputes ;)
We couldn't have asked for a better march day...sunny and mild. Just gorgeous!
and MORE PICTURES!!
You can view their family website here...
It also caused us to realize that our trusty little pocket digital camera isn't going to cut it anymore. Too much yellowing (despite white balance), some minor focus issues, and we just didn't get a whole ton of fantastic pictures from the birthday party :( Expect a new camera in our future :)
Family & Friends,
As many of you know, I’ve organized a team this year for the Susan G. Komen National Race for the Cure... and I'd LOVE for you to be a part of it!! It is a 5k (3.1 mile) walk/run to help eradicate breast cancer and this year it is going to be held on Saturday, June 2nd. You can read all about the foundation on their website. It's their 25th anniversary...so this should be a really fun event in addition to the race!
We're returning to an old favorite for our team name this year ...Team Stump A Lump !!!
Race Logistics:
When: Saturday, June 2nd
Where:National Mall, Washington, D.C.
Event Schedule:

BABIES AND STROLLERS ARE WELCOME...but must participate as walkers (you'll start 15 minutes later than the runners).
Keep an eye out for a future blog post with information about our online store (all proceeds go directly to the Susan G. Komen Foundation) which will have such lovely items as shirts, BBQ aprons, coaster tiles, mugs, baby clothes, hats, and several other goodies all emblazoned with our team logo!!

Guess what arrived in the mail on Friday? Our spankin' new Nikon D80 digital SLR! We charged up the battery last night and took a few quick snaps this morning. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! 10.2 megapixels, wicked good CCD, and all the features of an SLR blow away our point and shoot! And we're probably the most amateur of amateur photogs out there! We're still keeping the point and shoot handy though, it fits in a pocket and is super convenient for candids and the like. I'm totally looking forward to capturing our next event, vacation, or sunny day with vibrant digital SLR clarity!
A few more pics here...
Still getting the feel for our new camera :)
Almost got it.....
And now, with enthusiasm!
